Childcare Center Director
As a Childcare Center Director, you will be responsible for the overall management and operations of the childcare center. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Supervising and providing guidance to the center's teaching staff, ensuring they are providing high-quality education and care to children in the center
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures that comply with state regulations and licensing requirements, as well as maintaining compliance with all local, state, and federal laws
- Managing the budget and finances of the center, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently to meet the needs of the center
- Developing and implementing curriculum plans that are age-appropriate, engaging, and meet the developmental needs of children
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with parents, guardians, and families to promote trust, communication, and partnership
- Recruiting, hiring, and training new staff members as needed, and conducting regular performance evaluations to ensure the continued growth and development of the center
- Ensuring that the center's facilities and equipment are maintained in good condition and that safety and security measures are in place
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- At least five years of experience in a leadership role in a childcare center or related field
- Strong knowledge of state and national standards for childcare and early education
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community members
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass a background check
Requirements
All staff members must meet licensing requirements, have a completed background check, be current with pediatric and adult first aid and CPR, and have a Growing Futures account with required trainings.
